Fort Ward is in the West End of Alexandria
The Seminary Ridge neighborhood is located in the West End of Alexandria, Virginia and is actually on Seminary Hill. This historic area was home of Fort Worth during the Civil War. The area was developed for neighborhoods, retail, etc. in 1970.
The Seminary Ridge community is a traditional, colonial style neighborhood with many conveniences such as I-395, King Street, and Duke Street. Only a few minutes from Old Town Alexandria and Bailey’s Crossing.
Also, in the area is Fort Ward Park, The Virginia Theological Seminary, which was established in 1818, and the INOVA Alexandria’s Hospital.
Douglas MaCarthur Elementary, Francis C. Hammond Middle School, and T.C. Williams High School service the students in this area.
This is a great community for family and near areas of shopping, dining, and entertainment.
