First opened in 1960, Lanier Middle School works with its staff members and community to ensure that school is a
Lanier Middle School Students
safe, supportive, nurturing, and encouraging environment. The school assigns students into teams of about 130 students who share the same English, Math, Science, and Social studies teachers. Special features of the school include: English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), World Languages, Special Education, Peer mediation, Project TIC (Teachers Inspiring Change), National Junior Honor Society, Synergistic Lab, Pride Time, Read 180, Spanish, French, German, Latin, and a television production studio.
