Tysons gets a shared ZIP
Hey, Tysons Corner, you’ve got mail.
Well, sort of.
This week the Postal Service did not approve Tysons or Tysons Corner as its own city.
And it did not give it its own ZIP code.
But it did approve “Tysons” and “Tysons Corner” as an official address.
Fairfax County received approval for businesses and residents to use a “Tysons” or “Tysons Corner” address provided it is attached to either the McLean ZIP of 22102 or the Vienna ZIP of 22182. Both will get your Tysons addressed mail delivered.
Until now, a Tysons address was not recognized as an address and had no ZIP code association.
The change affects more than 22,000 mailing addresses according to the Postal Service.
