Public Schools. West Potomac has a unique history in which two existing schools and communities were merged together in 1985. WPHS has a widely diverse student body from more than 50 countries and speak 35 different languages in their homes. The school offers JROTC, banking, building trades, culinary arts, custodial skills, landscaping, and office support courses for students. Over 50% of the student body is active in the more than fifty extra-curricular clubs, music and sports programs WPHS offers. Advanced students may seek an AP diploma upon completion of courses and exams. West Potomac is located at 6500 Quander Rd in Alexandria, VA 22307.
