West Springfield High School is located in Springfield Virginia, Fairfax County. It has been known for its strict adherence to Virginia Standards of Learning and No Child Left Behind education requirements and offers a full range of basic to advanced (AP) courses for students. The school is very interactive with its learning and has eight wireless mobile labs and a SONY Virtuso lab. West Springfield utilizes the great communications programs such as Blackboard and student email. Unlike several other schools, West Springfield’s guidance department is very involved in student affairs offering 25 different enrichment seminars, mentoring, peer training and mediation, and college partnership programs. The community is also involved via the PTSA, Spartan Booster Club, Concerned Parents Group, and the Parent Support Network.
